In addition to the core sociology requirements, the stratification requirement and the cultural awareness requirement, general sociology students must also take:
One course from the following: SOC 311 (The Family), SOC 414 (Policy and Social Change),or SOC 440 (Leisure, Mass Media and Culture).
One course from the following: SOC 330 (Work and Careers in Society), SOC 331 (Urban Sociology), or SOC 480 (Medical Sociology).
One course from the following: SOC 235 (Introduction to Leadership), SOC 350 (Self and Society) or SOC 435 (Leadership and Team Building); and 9 credits from among all courses offered in sociology or anthropology not already taken to fulfill requirements.
